Finish Line HALO Wax Chain Wax

With the HALO Wax, Finish Line presents a chain wax for high demands on friction reduction, dirt repellence and mileage, which can fully utilise its performance in both dry and wet conditions.
During three years of development, the paraffin-based HALO WAX was optimised and combined with tungsten powder and boron nitride to create a high-performance chain lubricant. It is applied with the Smart Luber bottle attachment, which ensures efficient, precise and clean distribution of the liquid wax. After it has dried, a dry, dirt and water-repellent layer remains, which has penetrated into the inside of the chain. The HALO Wax reduces both friction and wear and also has an anti-corrosive effect, which optimises the chain's smoothness and durability.
This makes HALO Wax suitable for anyone who prioritises an efficient drivetrain with low wear and high dirt resistance.

Tip:
To degrease and clean the chain, we recommend the Finish Line EcoTech chain/drive cleaner (prod. code: 218514701).

Note on HALO Wax chain wax:
Before treatment with HALO Wax, the chain must be completely cleaned of lubricant and dirt and then dried. Please shake the bottle well before applying the wax lubricant. Then turn the dial on the Smart Luber bottle top anti-clockwise to open the integrated valve. In the next step, place the bottle upside down on the chain from above and press it lightly to soak the pads of the Smart Lubers with the lubricant. Now turn the pedals backwards 10 turns until the chain is completely wetted with HALO Wax. Repeat the process for the underside of the chain. Do not wipe off excess lubricant. Leave the wax to dry for approx. 6 to 12 hours. For optimum performance, apply a second coat of HALO Wax (recommended for the first application after degreasing the chain). After riding in the rain, it is advisable to relubricate the dried chain.

Tip:
The pads of the Smart Luber can be washed to remove wax build-up from them.
Old wax can be removed from the chain with boiling water if necessary.
